Alba's corner

  Awsome day .     It was my birthday yesterday, and it was great.   I was a bit sad these previous days since the others are gone and my family is far from here but that didn’t stop this one from being a truly amazing birthday.   I woke up and as usual went downstairs to fin d breakfast where I in fact found two cakes, and some gifts for me. Kathrin hugged me and wished me a happy b irthday. We all ate together and then I went to school where my classmates tried to sing Happy Birthday to me in Spanish .   Rebeca came to my house where we had cake, I opened her presents , and one my parents had sent from Spain.   We spent the evening watching one of the spiderman movies and the had pizza for dinner before we drove Rebeca home.  

  I t has been nice .     We have spent this last week hanging out together as much as we could because It’s time Elisa, Pablo and Andrea go back home.   On Friday we said goodbye to Pablo and Elisa a bit before classes ended, and then Rebeca and Andrea came over to my place.   We played a horror game together, ordered a few pizzas and watched the movie “Call me by your name” after we all mentioned how none of us had watched but we all wanted to. We all loved the movie and had some good laughs provo k ed by the others’ comments throughout the movie.   It was late when we took a walk together and finally said goodbye to Andrea wich was bittersweet, but we enjoyed being here together:)  

  Inspiration at it’s finest .     The whole family wanted to go skiing but since I didn’t feel like it , they took me to a nice restaurant that they have on the ski courts up in the mountain where you can easily sp end the day relaxing.   I took a notebook and some pencils with me, so I spent the whole morning just drawing with the Alps beside me, and some huge windows where the warm rays of the Sun slipped through. It was amazing to say the least and I made close to four or five drawing in just one morning so I’m very proud .   Whe n they came back we had lunch and finally went home.  

  Learning to ski .     One of these days they took me skiing, wich I’d only done once before in my life, and though it wasn’t t oo easy I didn’t go that bad!   Thomas went to ski on his own meanwhile Kathrin taught me the basics about skiing and Martha stayed in the car reading a book .   I only fell twice and didn’t hurt myself so it was nice, but it was truly fun. I also slipped backwards a few times wich resulted in Kathrin taking me by the hand so I didn’t accidentally end un crashing into someone. We also went up a mountain w here we met their family, and I stayed playing uno.  

  Going to Austria .     We have a week off of school for carnival vacations, and my family has taken me to Austria.   We left off very early , at six am, and didn’t stop until we arrived at the town where Mozzart was born, where we go off and took a walk aroun d the town after we sat down at a café for breakfeast because we hadn’t really eaten anything before leaving the house .   The trip was very long due to all the traffic, but thankfully I fell asleep for a while so it wasn’t that bad.   When we arrived at the vacation house we unloaded the car and chilled for a bit, however that night we went out to a restaurant with their extende d family, who was also in the area.
