The arrival at Gilching
January seventeenth.
I woke up at the same time I do to go to school, to say goodbye to Emma, the student I'm doing the exchange with.
I went to the bus station, where I met with Rebeca, with my parents and my sister. I said goodbye to my father while my mother, my sister, Rebeca and I got on the bus. I had a nap on the way to Bilbao because I was very tired.
Switching buses didn’t take long, because we arrived just in time to hop on one of the buses that
was going to the airport. On the way there we had to be careful because the luggage wouldn’t stay in place.
We arrived at the airport, where the four of us had a sandwich. Not even half an hour had passed, when we checked in our suitcases so that we didn’t have to carry them around. My sister left a little over an hour later and my mother bought us coffee. I then said goodbye to her, and Rebeca and I went past security. After that we just had to wait.
We kept checking our flight information on the airport screens because earlier we had been informed that our flight had been delayed, and we finally boarded the plane after running towards the gate because we had gotten mixed up. I will admit I hated the take off, but the rest of the flight remained peaceful.
At the Munich airport we spent forty minutes trying to find where we had to pick up our luggage, because we had to walk down a flight of stairs, get on a bus and hope to find which suitcase was our own.
We met our families and after a drive to my new home, I ate dinner and finally went to sleep.
