Walking with penguins

Week program .     On tuesday we went on a walk that could have easy led to Shrek’s swamp of how muddy and flooded it was (we had to take another way because of it) .     We also took a walk on the beach. THAT was great.     They gave us rain boots and explained that the sand might make us sink a bit...That was not a bit.     Rebeca had to pull me out of a hole multiple times and at some point, we started laghing becasue we discovered we were uncapable of jumping because our shoes were buried in sand. Everyo ne just looked like an awkward penguin trying to walk.     Best two hours ever.

Bremerhaven

Our school trip .     Instead of goint to Andalucía, we went to Bremerhaven which is located near the North Sea.     Monday was a PAIN. We had to meet at a station with our class and even tho we needed one train to get there due to problems it took two. We waited for hours with our class because the train was missing the wagon we had to travel in and the we had a five-hour train, a two-hour one, a one-hour one and a bus.     Safe to say we all sleep amazingly but I’ll admit the view was nice and I got to read for hours.

Happy birthday Emma!

Harry Potter Party .     Emma arrived the day right before her birthday. We obviusly celebrated her birthday, but then with the help of her sister and her cousin, Olivia, we all prepared her big birthday party.     The theme was Harry Potter and everyone had to dress up for the occasion as one of the characters . We made all kinds of decorations that then took forever to put up, but it was totallly worth it. It looked awesome .     The day of the party we dressed up, I was Sirius Black and we just had a lot of fun and good food during that whole day .

The wall

The Berlin wall .     We woke up and after some trams we arrived at a place where a piece of the Berlin wall still stands.     I’m not even sure how to explain how I felt. There was one kilometer worth of wall with a lot of different drawings on both sides of it.    The wall itself is rather small and thin compared to what I expected, but even so the feeling when yo are near it can be overwhelming. At least it was for me.     We walked beside it for a while just taking it in and of course admiring the art that has been made on it.     Being in Berlin with people who can tell you about their own experience is another level.

Berlin

T rip to Berlin .     We were given two weeks off school for Easter.      Emma’s sister, Martha, had left on a four-day trip because she had to play some handball matches and so Kathrin and Thomas decided to take me to Berlin.     We took a four hour-long high-speed train to get there. The view outside of the train was really great which really helped make the journey less boring.     The first day after we arrived and checked-in in the hotel where we were staying we took a really long walk around the city and had currywursts for lunch.     In case you don’t know what, these are, they’re simply sausages with very nice curry and are very well known in Berlin.     We went to the parliament and went all the way up to a terrace to enjoy the view. I love d it.
